From the roots, with love

Our story

In the heart of Positano , among the sunny stairways and the lemon-scented alleys, stands our artisan workshop , a place where tradition meets timeless elegance . Founded in 1950 by Carmine Todisco's grandfather, our family has passed down from generation to generation the art of creating custom sandals, made entirely by hand with passion and dedication .

Each pair of sandals tells a unique story , the result of expert gestures and an almost sacred attention to detail. We use only the highest quality materials: genuine Tuscan leather , Italian leather , carefully selected crystals and semiprecious stones . Our manufacturing technique, completely free of glue , uses only seedlings , guaranteeing a resistant, comfortable shoe designed to last over time.

Over the years, our creations have won admirers all over the world . It is said that Jacqueline Kennedy , during a visit to Positano, was fascinated by the simplicity and elegance of our sandals with the characteristic flip-flop triangle , designed by Carmine's father. A model that has become iconic, just like her.

Today, Carmine Todisco , the current owner of the shop, continues to lead the laboratory with the same care as his ancestors. In just ten minutes , he creates before your eyes a unique, hand-made sandal that encapsulates the soul of the Amalfi Coast and the history of our family.

Entering our shop does not just mean buying a shoe: it means taking with you a piece of history , a gesture of love for Italian craftsmanship, a symbol of authentic style that never goes out of fashion.

Memories in black and white

The images we cherish most tell who we are, better than a thousand words. They portray authentic, intimate moments, full of meaning: black and white fragments that smell of freshly cut leather, of expert hands at work, of sunny days in the streets of Positano. In one of these shots, grandfather Carmine Todisco delicately puts a sandal on the foot of a young woman. A simple gesture, yet full of elegance, attention and craftsmanship. That gesture is the same that today, after generations, continues to live in our shop.

In another scene, at the entrance to the workshop, you can feel the liveliness of Positano in the 1950s: young artisans move naturally among hanging soles, hammers and lasts, between smiles, chatter and work. It is a photograph that tells the story of a community, a family, a profession that has never been just technique, but identity, passion and pride.

Inside the workshop, the images show us boys intent on learning, observing, creating. Sitting around a small work table, they share space, tools, knowledge. It is there that the magic of our sandals was born, and is still born today: between strings, leather, crystals and tradition. A magic made of precision, patience, respect for the material and love for every single detail.

These memories are not just photographs: they are living testimonies of a legacy that we have the duty – and the desire – to honor every day. They are the heart of our history, our deepest root. And every sandal that leaves our shop today is a tribute to those hands, those looks, that timeless beauty.
